The common problems of plate heat exchangers
Let's take a look at the common problems of plate heat exchangers?
1. Blockage problem
When the heat exchanger is working, the pressure loss before and after increases, and the pressure parameters before and after are greater than 0.1MP, which may indicate that the heat exchanger may be blocked. At this time, it is necessary to shut down for cleaning and remove debris.
2. The gas inside the heat exchanger is not discharged
When the installation is completed and the operation starts, it is necessary to pay attention to whether there is a large amount of air inside. This is to check the exhaust system, and then start the official operation after the air is exhausted.
3. There is a problem with the water quality in the system, causing scaling inside the heat exchanger
Faced with this situation, one way is to turn off the machine and disassemble it for cleaning. The other is chemical cleaning.
4. Heat exchanger leakage
If the plate heat exchanger leaks, the pressure before and after is the same, indicating that there is water in the heat exchanger. If the internal leakage occurs, the plate should be replaced in time; if the external leakage occurs, the sealing gasket should be replaced.
